The Abel Family Quartet has been active since 2003, and is comprised of my father Alfred and me on violin, my mother Colette on viola, and my sister Clara on cello.

Though the quartet has been spread pretty far apart, what with my sister living in New York City and me living in Miami and Cincinnati for the past 5 years, I am now located firmly in Indianapolis and am able to dedicate myself to arranging concerts for AFQ. Even when conflicts arise for members of the immediate family, we can still perform as the Abel Family Quartet and Friends. We really enjoy this, though we miss each other, for it gives us the chance to play with our gifted friends and extended family.
